From human-in-the-loop to ABI-in-the-loop

What if the role of people in AI-driven processes is not to approve every step, but to define where AI should operate, set the boundaries and remain in control of the outcome?

From human-in-the-loop to ABI-in-the-loop

Human-in-the-loop has become an important principle for introducing AI responsibly into business processes.

But in many cases, we believe the human is being placed in the wrong part of the process.

People don't necessarily need to sit inside every workflow, checking each AI decision and approving every next step.

Their role can be different — and more valuable.

People decide where AI makes sense. They define the objectives, rules and boundaries. They monitor results and intervene when human judgement is genuinely required.

Inside that framework, AI can increasingly perform the work itself.

That's what we mean by ABI-in-the-loop.

Not AI that stops and waits for human approval at every step, but AI that can operate autonomously within a framework deliberately defined and controlled by people.

ABIdash is designed around this principle. The level of autonomy does not have to be the same for every task or process. Businesses determine where ABI assists people, where approval is required and where it can act independently.

The real shift in enterprise AI will not happen simply by giving people another AI tool.

It will happen when organizations start reconsidering where people create the most value in a process — and where AI can take over the work.

Maxim Kolev, co-founder of Neural Brothers, discussed this idea in his conversation with Bloomberg TV Bulgaria.
